Jamega Tour for me this week and off to Royal Ascot – again a lovely course chosen by the tour and highly recommend if you ever get chance to play there
Before the main event I was playing in the Sunday Pro-Am this week with 3 good friends of mine Steve, Rog and Malcom
Always great fun to play in the Pro-Am especially when the team entered was some of the guys I play golf with at weekends when I get the chance.
I finished in 3rd place for the day (pro tournament) with a score of 66 -4 under par, my round was made up of 6 birdies and 2 bogeys
Our team score was – 9 for the day (best 2 from 4 scores to count) and we finished in a very respective 11th place
Onto the Tournament itself and Day 1
After my Pro-Am score of 66 I was in confident mood and teed off in glorious sunshine
Very steady front nine, four straight pars followed by a birdie and finished off with another four pars, through nine holes in -1 34
Back nine again equally consistent as I made three pars before a birdie on the 12th hole got me to -2 for the day.
A little blip on 14 see me drop back to -1 but what a finish I made, straight back with an EAGLE! On 15 before a birdie on the last and I had shot another 66 -4 for day one
Day 2 and I was out in the final group the first time this has happened to me as a professional, really excited couldn’t wait to get going
A bit of a mixed bag on the front nine of four pars, two bogeys but three birdies got me to the turn again in -1 34 and now -5 for the tournament.
Back nine and a bad start as I made bogey on 10,11 and 12 steady pars followed until one more bogey on 17 before a lovely putt made on 18 for birdie and the day was done
My scores were -4 (66) + +2 (72) for a tournament total of -2 and a share of 7th place
What a great couple of days and another tournament finished under par and in the red numbers

Hope Dad (Rog) played well for you!
