A new course for me this week and a trip to Essex to play the stunning Stock Brook Manor
Day 1
Off to a great front nine today a bogey on the 2nd hole was quickly forgotten as I went onto birdie the 3rd,6th and 8th hole to reach the turn in 34 -2 under par, really solid golf which saw me make 5 3`s in nine holes.
Onto the back nine kept it steady with two bogeys to one birdie and I had completed day 1 in 71 -1 under par
Day 2
Off with the later groups which is always a nice feeling and target was another under par round and hope this would be enough for the prize fund.
Not the best of starts with 3 bogeys made until I got a shot back on the par 3 7th, out in 38 +2 over par needed a strong back nine.
Off to a great start with birdie on 10 before back to back bogeys on 11 & 12 halted me in my tracks.
Further birdies on the 14th, 16th, and 18th smartened my score card up to finish with a 73 +1 for the day and level par for the tournament.
Unfortunately, just outside the prize money but a steady weeks golf of level par and another top 20 finish
Next is stop is Scotland as I head to Montrose to play in the EuroPro Eagle Orchid Scottish Masters
As always, good luck with your own game
Matt
