This week saw me competing on the Jamega Tour for this weeks tournament
And a nice change of pace this week as I got to play in the Sunday Pro-Am with a team of three guys that I have been playing golf with for years, so it was really nice for them to come out and play the course with all the Jamega Tour boards set up and get announced to the tee etc
Unfortunately we didn’t finish in the prizes, but we all had a fantastic day out playing together.
Day 1
A course I have played before last year so knew my round, lovely place, a little fiddly in places but if you get chance, get out and play it
Very steady start as I made nice pars on the first 3 holes before dropping a shot on the par 4, 4th hole.
Bounced straight back with a birdie on the next hole the 5th and reached the turn in a nice level par of 35
Onto the back nine and a bogey straight away on the 10th followed by another on 13 and 14 put me at 3 over.
A lost tee shot out of bounds on the 17th for a triple, before a great birdie on the last and I signed for a back nine of 41 and a total score of 76
Day 2
Another great start as this time I made birdies on the 2nd and the 5th to put me a -2 for the day
A bogey on 7 and a double on 8 was followed by a lovely birdie on the 9th when I hit my tee shot into a couple of feet and holed the putt, I was out in level par 35
Onto the back nine and again very steady golf which consisted of one birdie and one bogey for a level par round of 70
My total score of +6 left me in 39th place out of the 100 playing, but my second round score gave me great confidence to come back and shoot a nice round of level par on day 2
Here’s my scorecard
I hope you’re all enjoying your own rounds of golf
Until next time
Matt
