It’s the Masters!! that can only mean one thing – the 2018 golf season is finally underway and time for me to kick off my first reports
Firstly before I begin – a huge thank you to all of my sponsors for all your continued support, I hope 2018 is as exciting as 2017, I know I can’t wait to get started
So what have I been up to since my final report of 2017, and how have my 2018 preparations gone, more importantly “how did I get on at EuroPro Q school”
In January I also started a part time job at Ogbourne Downs GC – this has worked out really well for me as I have been able to mix work with my golf practise as I spend most
of my days at the golf club
Onto my golf preparations – I found a great Winter Tour whilst searching the internet for tours to play on and with 4 tournaments remaining thought that this would provide me with a great
opportunity to sharpen my skills up as Q school approached
Unfortunately the weather this year has not been kind and has made playing tricky – the first tournament was cancelled for frozen ground, the second and forth
were cancelled due to the snow!!
However it did mean one tournament did go ahead so finally I got chance to tee it up at Luton Hoo GC a course I knew well as played many times before
The weather was not much better with torrential rain but at least I was finally out playing.
I was really pleased with my round as I shot a (-1) under par score of 72 and was even more pleased to find out that this put me in a tie for 5th place and its always great to finish under par and finish in the top end of the field
Another couple of weeks of full on practise and it was time for EuroPro School
Full write up in next report
