Me and my father Mark were invited to represent Rickety Bridge Winery in a charity golf day for Darren Clarke and after much thought and consideration (which took a matter of seconds) we agreed to go to Dublin and play.
On the first day after arrival we headed out to arguably the most famous pub in Malahide just outside Dublin called Gibneys and had a meal there with Darren himself.
On the way there a certain Rich Beem shared our taxi with us and also on arrival shared a Guinness with me and dad. After plenty of drinking and a rather late night we had to wake up bright and early the next morning for a shot gun start at Royal Portmarnock.
Dad and me were partnered with two lovely people named Heiki and Mike and we all enjoyed a fantastic game of golf on a challenging links golf course.
I managed to shoot +1 on the day and also beat the pro on the par three we played on the back 9.
All in all the trip was a once in a lifetime experience and one me and my dad will never forget.
Thanks to everyone involved
